If homosexual marriage becomes legal, there will be negative ramifications for both children and adults, as well as society as a whole. Simply, Prop 8 is about legislating beliefs. The idea that marriage is between a man and a woman is a widely contested ideological belief, based generally on religion and culture. Despite the fear-mongering, NOT LEGISLATING that belief (i.e., imposing your belief on everyone else), does NOT have any negative effects on society or individuals. Guess what? Prop 8 only has negative effects, and it only affects same-sex couples. Prop 8 has no positive effects. It protects no one, it helps no one. It's based on imaginary problems and fear. Vote NO. Don't legislate religious or cultural beliefs on anyone else.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
