It has been a month since our NYC trip. We are about to start another travel vacation. For the last several years we have traveled to Europe durning August. Last year was a week in Amsterdam followed by a two-week hike in the French Alps from Megève, FR (near Geneva) to Menton (two coastal cities from Nice). This year is no exception. We are going to explore the Scandinavian countries this year.
Our itinerary includes 6 days stay in Copenhagen then two days in Bergen, Norway.
We are planning on doing a 12-hour boat/train/bus tour called 'Norway in a Nutshell'. Then we embark on a cruise on the "Hurtigruten line" for a 7-day Bergen to Kirkenes voyage through western Norwegian fjords. (http://www.hurtigruten.com/).We then are schedule to fly to Oslo for a 4 day visit followed by 4 days in Stockholm. Back in September.

Gosh that looks magnificent. Is it really expensive? John and I want to take a cruise before were too old to enjoy it.
We took our daughters on the Rosie cruise to Alaska a few years ago. I had never been on a cruise before, but my husband had as a child.
It was a beautiful trip and we'd do it again in a second -- although not necessarily a gay/lesbian family cruise.
A bit pricey, but utterly memorable.
