The Intersection of Hope & Action: Celebrating Harvey Milk Day

Who was Harvey Milk?

Harvey Milk was an activist who stood for inclusion, equality and economic Justice. As an out Gay and Jewish San Franciscan, Milk ran for political office, winning a seat on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

Tragically assassinated just 11 months into office, Harvey Milk, may his memory be a blessing, embodied the type of hope and commitment to social change we work towards every day.

You gotta give 'em hope.

This guy has achieved so much and yet there's still so much to do. I'm glad he's finally getting all this recognition, not only because he deserves it, but also because it promotes recognition for the cause which is what Milk was all about.
