Health Care for the Holidays

There is no reason not to be insured. I am struggling with a number of health issues as this year comes to an end. All of them were a surprise with no symptoms. I am very grateful that I have a great medical plan and doctors (Kaiser Permanente).

Enjoy this sexy video and signup for insurance if you need it.

Not as simple as it sounds. People with HIV here in our state who are working or self-employed and have been receiving state assistance with private medical insurance premiums but whose income is less than $15,000 will now be forced into Medicaid - and we still don't know how that will affect retirement savings, a home or other assets. It could be that such individuals may lose everything they've worked for and at death, their estate, if any will be used to pay back the state for their past health care premiums with nothing left for survivors, even taking marriage equality into account. I could be wrong, but no one here has been able to clarify these issues. So, yeah, not simple. The working class being forced into medicaid is despicable. I blame the Congress for making minced meat out of the original proposal - Universal Health Care with a single payer system. Obama's biggest mistake - letting them call it Obamacare and using that term himself.
